Himalayan Route
- 10+ nights
- Naggar → Jispa → Vashist
The itinerary
Narrow Himalayan roads, winding mountain lanes and three destinations with very different landscapes. This 10–15 day journey takes you through Naggar, Vashisht and Jispa, with 3–5 days at each stop to explore the surroundings.
In Naggar, enjoy green valleys, flowing rivers, forests and views of snow-covered mountains. The area is ideal for leisurely drives, village walks and exploring the quieter corners of the Kullu Valley.
Stay in Vashisht, perched on the hillside above Manali, for birdlife, mountain views and close-up sights of snow-covered peaks. Explore the village, walk its narrow lanes and enjoy views that change with the light and weather.
Then cross the Atal Tunnel into Jispa, where the landscape changes dramatically. Green slopes give way to vast, barren mountains that feel reminiscent of Ladakh. Set in a valley surrounded by these rugged mountains, your stay in Jispa lets you enjoy the river flowing nearby and the open, stark beauty of the high Himalayas.
The road journey is a key part of the experience, with mountain passes, changing terrain and scenic stretches along the way. Rather than covering many places in a few days, this route gives you time to settle into each destination and experience three distinct Himalayan landscapes at a comfortable pace.
